Barwani (Madhya Pradesh): Member of Parliament Gajendra Singh Patel held talks with officials at a meeting held on Friday to solve the problem of irrigation for farmers of Rajpur area. After discussion, he got the gates of Lower Goi dam closed due to which the farmers will get water to irrigate1,000 hectares of land.
Due to construction work being done in Lower Goi dam, its gates were opened. As a result, dam water was wasted and farmers received less water to irrigate their crops.
The farmers led by district BJP president Om Soni and Mandal president Jitu Yadav met Patel and informed him about opening of dam gates. As a result, Patel took up the matter with officials.
The Lower Goi project fills water in ponds of Morani, Budra, Khadki, Tanda, Bilwani, Danod, Libai, Narawala, Bhami, Bhagsur, Kasel, Sali. Farmers Hukum Gawli, Asaram Yadav, Morani Kunwar Singh among others had met Patel.
