Indore :The district administration has imposed ban on visiting tourist spots of the district in night with the immediate effect. Collector P Narahari issued the orders under Section 144 of the IPC 1973. As per the order, the visit of tourist locations like , Kajligarh etc is banned from 6pm to 6am. The Collector directed the CEO of Janpad Panchayat and Chief Municipal Officer (CMO) of the area concerned. He also instructed them to place a notice board in this regard at the tourist spots. In-charges of the police stations have been intimated for effective implementation of the order.
However, the order would not be applicable for the officials engaged in the duty for maintaining law and order. The order will be effective from July 23 to September 18, 2015. Legal action would be initiated against the violators of the above order under section 188 of the IPC. It may be recalled that in the rainy season, people use to visit temporary waterfalls and reservoirs.
On the holidays and Sundays the rush of tourists is seen at the spots. Some fatal accidents have been witnessed at these spots in the past. Hence, the administration issued this order.
