Badnawar (Madhya Pradesh): Two minors died while undergoing treatment at Ratlam district after they were poisoned by their mother in Badnawar village of Dhar district. The deceased have been identified as Pari, 7, daughter of Santosh Sindal and her younger brother Kunal, 3.

The duo was referred to Ratlam district hospital from Badnawar after they were admitted to Badnawar Civil Hospital in a serious condition along with Seetu, 8, and their mother Mamta, 40.

Earlier, Mamta along with her three minor kids had attempted to commit suicide by consuming rat poison at her residence. However, alert neighbours immediately took them to the Civil Hospital.

The matter was reported at Kod village situated on the outskirt of Badnawar on Thursday morning. The woman's mother-in-law Prembai Sindal informed that her daughter-in-law Mamtabai, 40, wife of Santosh Sindal and her three kids, Seetu, 8, Pari, 7, and Kunal, 3, reside separately a few distances away from her residence. On Thursday morning Mamta had an argument with Santosh over some trivial issue.

Meanwhile, after some time, her neighbours saw all three kids vomiting outside their house along with their mother. Feeling something wrong, they immediately took them to the civil hospital.

Grandmother Prembai said that one of her granddaughters Vedika is fine as at the time of the incident she was alone with her and did not consume the poison.
