Indore: On a petition by an advocate seeking attempt to murder case against Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and MLA Ramesh Mendola, a local court on Monday sought the state government’s response in the matter within a fortnight.

Advocate Sohanlal Nagar, who on behalf of Suresh Seth, is fighting Sugni Devi land scam case, alleged that the respondents— Vijayvargiya and Mendola — had allegedly hired a truck driver to get him killed.

He said that the truckdriver tried to crush him when he was returning from Dewas in his car in August. The advocate caught the truck driver and hand him over to the police. The police did not register an attempt to murder case against the minister and the MLA, so the advocate moved the court on October 8. Following his allegations, the court has sought the State Government’s response with in two weeks.
