Attacked by 2, youth demands strict actions from IG of Police

Indore : The youth, who was injured in a knife attack by a father-son duo during a marriage procession in May, reached the IGP office on Tuesday and demanded strict actions against the culprits. The senor police officials assured him of appropriate actions.

As per information, Manish Khatri, a resident of Scheme No.140 along with his kin reached the IGP office and submitted a complaint requesting him of appropriate actions against the accused. Manish in his complaint stated that he is involved in supplying mares during marriages. On May 14, he also supplied a mare for marriage function and was also present in the marriage held at Pardeshipura.

On reaching Damru Ustad Square, one Jayesh allegedly slapped Manish’s kin. When Manish tried to rescue him, Jayesh and his father Bholaram allegedly thrashed Manish and also attacked him with a knife injuring him severely on his thigh.

Manish said that he had lodged a compliant at Pardeshipura police and even told the police officials that he could identify the accused.

He said the police didn’t take any actions against the culprits and took actions under some meek sections. Manish further said that he identified the accused but the police didn’t take any action in the matter. He added he could not work due to attack and could not even provide financial help tohis family.
