Indore: This news will knit eyebrows of many. Around 170 files related to the appointments of employees have gone missing from Indore Development Authority (IDA). This information came to fore when the IDA started verifying documents pertaining to the appointments of its employees following directives from Madhya Pradesh high court. “This is true that some files related to the appointments at IDA are missing from our record room. We are searching for the files,” said IDA chairman Shankar Lalwani. However, he did not rule out the possibility of foul play, but said that it appeared that the flies have been misplaced.
“I was informed that the files may have gone missing when our office was shifted from Jawahar Nagar to Racecourse Road,” he said.
The IDA chairman said that notices have been served on officials responsible for keeping the files safe. “If they failed to find the files, FIR will be filed against them and a departmental enquiry will also be constituted,” he said.
Lately, the HC directed all the government departments in the state to verify files pertaining to the appointments of their respective employees.
