Indore: Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya stated that a private channel had organised a political programme at its School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) campus on Monday which was spoiled by antisocials. “Some antisocials had entered the programme and tried to ruin it apparently to tarnish the image of DAVV in general and SJMC in particular,” said SJMC head Sonali Nargunde. She claimed that the antisocial elements did not succeed in their objective.
She said that the programme was organised after obtaining due permission from district election office for giving practical knowledge to journalism students of political debate. Congress candidate for Indore Lok Sabha seat Pankaj Sanghvi who went to SJMC for the debate had invited ire of audience there. While it was reported the audience was students of SJMC who gave vent to their ire when Sanghvi claimed that the media is sold, Nargunde said that some antisocial elements had entered the audience and they created nuisance to spoil the programme and image of DAVV.
