Indore : All India Institute of Medical Sciences entrance test declared its results of MBBS programme for the session 2014-2015 on Wednesday. Around 600 students from the city appeared for this prestigious pre-medical entrance examination.Anagha Puntambekar has topped the city with All India Rank of 129 followed by Tanisha Gupta and Sejal Jain with ranks of 137 and 171 respectively.

Anagha while talking to Free Press about her success mantra said, “I have been preparing for pre-medical tests since las two years and for AIIMS I mainly focused on assertion and reasoning and clearing concepts. Thorough revision of NCRT books is also very important in AIIMS.”

With the increase in number of seats in AIIMS, the city student’s performance in one of the toughest entrance exam is improving. Last year the city roughly gave 13 selections in AIIMS whereas this year the students have performed much better than last year in spite of a tough paper.

Pankaj Gupta, director of Brain Masters Classes while talking about the exam said, “This year AIIMS set up a tougher paper than last year.

The official website of AIIMS displayed the roll numbers of the qualified student’s on the notice board of the Examination Section.

Aspirants belonging to the general category acquiring minimum 50% marks in the test are declared qualified and those belonging to the OBC category got listed into the merit list by accruing a minimum 45% in the test whereas students of SC/ST category were selected if they secured a minimum score of 40%.

This cut off is valid for all the six new AIIMS opened in the country. Selected students will be called for the counselling scheduled to start on July 8 and the academic session will begin from August 13.
