Indore : The Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited (AICTSL) is planning to ply air conditioned ‘Sky Buses’ for Ujjain, Sendhwa, Surat and Hoshangabad from here. Tenders for these routes have been called by the AICTSL and about 7 bidders have participated in the pre-bidding process.
In its press release issued on Friday, the AICTSL officials said that large number of residents had been requesting them to start buses on these routes after which the company had decided to call tenders.
“At least 7 bidders have participated in the pre-bid process and we will open the final tender on July 16. With the launch of buses in these four new routes, we will become only company with 12 inter-city routes,” the AICTSL officials said. They have also decided to start AC buses for Mhow to facilitate passengers.
In a meeting held to review services of AICTSL, the Collector P Narahari, who chaired the meeting, and other officials decided to install two more snack vending machines for passengers.
“After getting good response from passengers in LIG Square and Vijay Nagar area, the company will install snack vending machines at Geeta Bhawan and Bhawarkuan area also,” CEO Sandeep Soni said.
The officials have also decided to change the tagline of the company and asked residents to suggest a new taglines. Officials appealed to the people to suggest new tagline for the company by July 18.
Along with the Collector, IMC Commissioner Manish Singh, SDM Sandeep Soni, DSP (Traffic) Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi and RTO MP Singh were present in the meeting.
