Indore : Regional Provident Fund officials on Tuesday raided seven infrastructure companies and establishments here on Tuesday and unearthed large number of irregularities.
Seven teams of PF sleuths, led by Assistant PF Commissioner Ajendra Tripathi , conducted raids simultaneously at the offices of the companies, including that of Atal Indore City Transport Company Ltd (AICTSL).
The raids continued till late night and are expected to conclude on Wednesday.
The official sources said that if needed, detailed survey action may be carried out at the firms.
The initial investigations have revealed that firms were indulging in the evasion of PF contribution of the employees and also were not offering the benefit of the PF to them.
The teams physically verified the number of employees and other documents of the firms.
Apart from AICTSL, the raids were conducted at Ms Kalindi Builders & Developers, Ms Kalindi Constructions Pvt Ltd, Ms Navin Infrasolutions P Ltd, Ms Convenient Construction & Consultancy Pvt Ltd, Ms SS Nirman Pvt Ltd and Ms Indore Treasure Town Pvt.
The firms have been summoned at PF Office on May 28. PF Commissioner Ajay Mehra told Free Press that this was a routine action as the department was receiving the complaints against them since a long time.
