Agrasen sq to Navlakha sq: Absence of parking lots, lack of awareness creating problems

Indore : Parking on the road leading from Agrasen square to Navlakha square is a huge problem. Similar problem exists on the road leading from Agrasen Square to Sapna Sangeeta road. Most of the commercial buildings on these roads do not have parking lots as the space is used to erect shops. This forces the shopkeepers to park their vehicles on the road creating problems for residents.

Trucks going to and fro to Loha Mandi and Anaj Mandi are many times parked haphazardly at Agrasen square, narrowing the road and leaving very little space to allow traffic to flow smoothly.

Amit Palsikar, a businessman at Agrasen square, said that absence of parking lot in the area, lack of awareness in people leads to parking problems.

Autodeal owner Bunty Chouhan said that vehicles are parked haphazardly on both sides of the road making driving difficult along the road.

Sachin Jaiswal, a resident of the area, said that situation becomes critical on Thursday’s weekly market both due to passing vehicles as well as vehicles of visitors to the market.

Prem Sharma, a real estate agent, said that although cops are deployed at Agrasen square they remain oblivious to traffic problems and inconvenience to drivers.
