Indore : In view of the forthcoming Simhasta Fair at Ujjain, the heads of district administration, police, IMC and IDA came out on ground on Saturday to review preparations and to draw plan to manage the huge crowd.
Mayor Malini Gaud, district collector P Narahari, DIG Santosh Singh and IDA chairman Shankar Lalawani took a round of the outskirts of the city to assess the possibility of setting up temporary bus stands, toilets and drinking water facilities. The team visited Narmada-Kshipra Link Project at village Ujjaini. They instructed the accompanying officers to make arrangements for parking, road widening, drinking water, toilets and lights there before March 15. A parking and control room will be set up at Dev Guradia temple. An alternate parking would be set up at the bypass-located Bhandari Farm House. The crew also inspected Labh Ganga Garden, Reliance ground, Aurobindo Square, Bijasan Mata Mandir and Navda Panth to set up bus stands there.
They also visited Rajiv Gandhi Square and Teen Imli Square. The collector instructed to prepare alternate routes, mob control plan and traffic managements. He also instructed the SDMs to earmark vacant government lands for parking. He directed all the agencies concerned to complete the preparations before March 15.
