ABVP activists ransack New Science College

Indore : The ABVP activists vandalised Government Nirbhay Singh Patel New Science College on Friday following a heated argument with college principal over a petty issue.

On learning about the incident, Bhawarkuwa police reached the college campus but by that time the accused had fled the scene.

Some activists of the ABVP had gone to the college requesting to forward examination form of a girl student.

When the principal cited some technical issues in accepting their demand, the activists got furious. They indulged in heated exchanges with the principal which soon took a nasty turn.

According to eye witnesses, the activists took to ransacking when the principal asked them to leave her office.

The activists even smashed window panes and damaged flower pots of the college forcing the authorities to call police.

“By the time the police reached the scene the accused had fled,” sources said that no complaint with the police was lodged by the college over the incident. New Science College runs from a portion of Government Holkar Science College. Holkar College principal KN Chaturvedi said that they would soon install CCTV cameras in the campus so that if anyone violates law and order, video footage of the same could be provided to the police.
