Indore : The police, on Thursday, arrested an accused who was reportedly absconding since the last 11 years after being released on parole.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Mushtaq Mihmad resident of village Ghatabillod, district Dhar was booked for kidnapping and rape of a woman in 1987.
After trial Mushtaq was sentenced and was serving his sentence in Central Jail, Indore. However, Mushtaq was paroled in 2006 but after his parole period was over, he failed to report to the jail authorities. Mushtaq was declared absconding and MG Road police registered a case against him. Since then searches failed to trace Mushtaq until an informer told the police about his visit to one of his relatives.
Based on this information a police team raided a house in Nayapura and nabbed Mushtaq from there. Mushtaq is being booked under various sections of the IPC.
