Indore: After hearing the case of bank embezzlement, the special court sentenced all the 9 accused including the then bank manager to 3 years imprisonment on Thursday.
Judge Shubhra Singh sentenced to jail the then manager Ramesh Tambe, Rajkumar Sethi and his wife Mamta Sethi, Niranjan Lal Sharma, Apar Singh Arora, Laxman Sirwani, Kanhaiyya Lal Panwar and Heera Lal Khatri. The court also fined Rs 500 on each of the accused. It is to be noted that it was 26- year- old case of embezzlement.
The EOW had registered the case of embezzlement in Central Bank of India, Cloth Market Branch in 1986. According to the incident, the then manager and the others presented fake documents on the name of fake firms and embezzled Rs 7 lakh from the bank.
EOW had presented the challan in 1990 and the case was pending from then.
