7 thieves arrested, 5 mobile phones, 1 cycle recovered

Indore: Chandan Nagar police arrested five persons and recovered five mobile phones and also arrested two cycle thieves and recovered a cycle. According to the police, a tip off was received that two men and a woman were trying to sell expensive mobiles at cheap rates in the markets without proper bills. Accordingly a police team went to the spot and detained three suspects. They were identified as Manish Gurjar of Rishi Palace Colony, Ashok Goswami of Ahirkhedi, and Anjana Soni of Rishi Palace Colony.

A Micromax company phone was found in their possession and upon questioning they could not produce any bill or convince the police that it belonged to them. The trio broke down under questioning and finally admitted to stealing it.

Two more mobile phones were recovered from the possession of Manish and later based on the information provided by the accused Manish, the police nabbed two buyers, Mohit alias Tiku Sindhi resident of Krantikriplani Nagar and Kamal resident of Dwarikapuri and recovered two stolen mobiles from their possession.

Two cycle thieves held

Another team of Chandan Nagar Police nabbed two cycle thieves and recovered a stolen cycle from their possession. Acting on a tip off the police detained Sunil Langada resident of Scheme No 71 and Bheru alias Subhash Bheel also resident of Scheme No 71. The two men admitted to stealing a cycle belong to postman Ratan Singh when he parked the cycle at an Apartment building and went up to distribute mail.
