Agitators unheeded the notices, organized ‘Sundarkand’ to protest

Indore : To take stern action against agitating contractual health employees, the Chief Medical and Health Officer and Civil Surgeon served as many as 350 warning notices to terminate them if they failed report for duty immediately.

However, no employee joined the work even after getting notices. On the 15th day of their protest, the contractual employees organized ‘Sundarkand’ at the CMHO office and also distributed pamphlets against the State Government.

“We have served notices to the striking employees and waiting for their joining. However, no one has joined the work and we are waiting for the department for further action. We will terminate them if they do not join work immediately,” District CMHO Dr Shantilal Porwal said.

The Health Department has been taking daily updates about the employees and directed them not to pay salaries to them.

“We won’t end our strike till our demands are not met. Instead of listening to our demands, the government has been trying to suppress us,” President of Samvida Karmchari Sangh Himmat Singh Gurjar said.
