Indore: In a broad day light thefts, thieves struck at two flats in an apartment in Lasudiya area and decamped with valuables and cash worth lakhs, the police said, on Tuesday. The miscreants executed the crime so meticulously that nobody in the apartment came to known about it until the thieves walked off with valuables.

The thefts took place in flats of Sunil Puranik and Sachin Gupta in Tulsiyan Residency. An assistant manager with a private company, Puranik told the police that he along with his teacher wife had gone to their respective work on Monday when his neighbour called up and informed him that locks of his flat were broken.

On reaching home, Puranik found Rs 40000 in cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh missing. In the same building, thieves struck in the residence of Sachin Gupta also. He informed the police that he had gone to Bhopal for some official work and his teacher wife and children were in their respective schools when thieves broke open locks of their flat and took away cash and valuables worth Rs 1 lakh.

Under construction building Puranik told reporters that the apartment is not fully completed. “ Some flats of the apartment are still under construction so three to four security guards are also present at the apartment. But the thieves executed the crime so meticulously that nobody could catch them. Police said that several labourers come to the apartment and several others came for construction work and it’s a possibility that some of them had struck at the flats.

Theft Thieves took away Rs 85,000 in cash and a laptop kept in a car parked at a building on RNT Marg. Victim Rajesh Agarwal lodged a complaint about the theft with Tukoganj police.
