Indore: Two persons died and one sustained injuries when a speeding truck hit the jeep they were travelling in. The family was on their way to attend a marriage when the tragedy struck.
According to the police, the accident occurred near Sandalpur Fata on Nemawar Road. The dead were identified as Chanda (36), wife of Rajendra Gurjar and Madanlal Gurjar (50), both residents of Nageen Nagar.
Khategoan police have registered a case against the truck driver on complaint from one Rajnesh. He told the police that he along with his uncle Madanlal, aunt Nisha and relatives Chanda, Harsh and Tirath were on their way to attend a marriage function. As their jeep reached Sandalpur Fata a speeding truck collided head on with their jeep resulting in injuries to Madanlal, Chanda and Harsh.
The injured were first taken to local hospital and then to Choithram Hospital. Madanlal and Chanda died on their way to the hospital, while Harsh is undergoing treatment at the hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. The family had celebrated the birthday of Harsh, son of Chanda and then left the city to attend a marriage function of the daughter of Madanlal’s younger brother at Bishnoda, but their joyous mood turned to grief after the tragedy.
