Several issues addressed on the spot

Indore: In the Jan Sunwai held at the Collectorate on Tuesday, at least 175 applications were received regarding various matters including domestic violence, illegal grabbing of land, and BPL ration card issues. District Collector Aakash Tripathi, Zila Panchayat CEO Ashish Singh and other officials were present on the occasion and lent an ear to the applicants.

Most of the cases were addressed on the spot while those which could not be were sent to respective departments for action and follow up. Two women came with applications and complaint against their family members claiming that they have been thrown out of their houses and are being harassed by family members.

Officials were instructed by the district collector to register cases in the matter and take necessary steps. A case regarding land grabbing was also produced for which officials were directed to free the land from the culprits and take legal action against them.Also, agriculture department retired Surveyor Dayashankar Shakyawar requested Joint- Director, Treasury and Accounts for settling his case.
