Woman injured in bison attack, dies

Coimbatore: Tragedy struck a Chennai couple when they were attacked by a bison in Sim’s park on their honeymoon trip to Coonoor in neighbouring Nilgiris district, resulting in the death of the woman. Thamarai (28), who sustained serious abdomen injuries in the attack, succumbed at the government hospital here, police said on Thursday. While Thamarai died on Wednesday without responding to treatment, her husband Dinesh, who had suffered minor injuries, was discharged, they said.–PTI
