Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again topped the list of the World's Most Popular Leaders' in the 'Global Leader Approval' Ratings released by the American research company.
The American company 'Morning Consult' released the list on Saturday showing Modi being the most popular leader in the world with 70 percent approval ratings among the other 13 great leaders of the world.
This is the second year in a row that the Indian Prime Minister has topped the list with such a high margin among all other world leaders. Morning Consult had termed Modi as the "Most Popular Head of Government" in a survey.
Taking to Twitter, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said it is an honour for the whole country to be again the most popular leader of the world. "This shows the public's faith in the visionary leadership of Shri Modi Ji."
In the Global Leader Approval list, PM Modi is followed by Mexico President López Obrador at 66 percent and Italy Prime Minister Mario Draghi at 58 percent. Angela Merkel has secured 54 percent ratings while Joe Biden has secured 44 percent ratings.
