Kolkata, June 19: In order to enhance its public relation, Trinamool Congress (TMC) started a new programme ‘Back to Party Office’ where heavyweight party leaders will be present at the party office everyday on a rotational basis.

Following the landslide victory in the recently concluded assembly polls, the ruling TMC is now targeting the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee in the recent past had also said that they are prepared to take the party to national level.

“If we contest the polls from any other states our target is not just to win a few seats but to win over the entire state,” Abhishek said.

According to TMC sources, now the heavyweight leaders are asked to be present at the party office to increase the public relation and also to strengthen the organisation.

“A roster is being made and rotationally every top party leader for at least 3-4 hours will be present at party office and two more buildings are being identified and soon even those two building will be transformed into Trinamool Congress party office,” said sources in the know-how, adding that this move will also strengthen the party’s organisation.

Meanwhile, TMC MP Sukhendu Sekhar Roy claimed that in order to counter the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), all the opposition should collectively form a platform and also that if such a platform is made then the TMC will also be part of the platform.

“In order to counter anti-democracy moves of the BJP all oppositions should unite. Our Supremo Mamata Banerjee said if such a platform is made then she will also join the alliance. Moreover, following the landslide victory all other opposition parties have accepted Mamata Banerjee as the face of the opposition,” stated the TMC MP.

It can be recalled after the poll results were out on May 2, the ruling Trinamool Congress had on social media started a trend that Mamata Banerjee is the next Bengali Prime Minister of the country.
