Kolkata, June 11 : Despite Calcutta High Court’s verdict that all displaced Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s workers due to the post-poll violence should be brought back home by June 5, the BJP leaders are still crying foul against the violence by the alleged Trinamool Congress’ goons.

Talking to Free Press Journal, BJP Jalpaiguri MP Jayanta Kumar Roy said while he was trying to bring back displaced BJP workers from Bhandarigunj area of Siliguri alleged TMC goons had attacked him with bamboo sticks on his head and arms.

“Two other leaders who were with me had sustained serious head injuries and I have also sustained severe injuries and am under treatment at North Bengal Medical College. TMC goons Samiruddin, Jahangir and Md. Anwar along with 150 TMC cadres had attacked me. There is no law and order in the state,” mentioned the BJP Jalpaiguri MP.

“He was attacked on the head, suffered a blow on the abdomen. His condition is stable, no obvious injuries visible,” said Dr. AN Sarkar, Head of Dept-Surgery, North Bengal Medical College & Hospital, Siliguri.
