New Delhi: Amid a major row over religious conversion, the VHP on Wednesday said nothing will deter it from going ahead with its core agenda of ‘Ghar Wapsi’ and Ram Temple construction, and that it will hold a major convention in Delhi on March 1 to highlight the issues.
It will be addressed by top leaders like Ashok Singhal and Praveen Togadia. As is known, there is no love lost between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Togadia since their Gujarat days.
Asked if RSS leaders had asked the VHP not to highlight such issues and put a moratorium on such issues, he said, “Nobody has asked us to stop our programme.” Making it categorical that it was not at loggerheads with the government, nor derailing development and good governance agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the VHP leader said, “Our agenda is different and the government’s agenda is different”.
