New Delhi: The Supreme Court granted bail to two accused sentenced to life imprisonment by the Bombay High Court in different cases. A bench of Justices Mrs R Banumathi and R Subhash Reddy allowed bail to Mansoor Nabib Shaikh jailed since March 26, 2014 on the ground the HC has already granted bail to his co-accused Matin Nabib Shaikh in July 2018.

The plea stated both the cases are similar and hence the appellant be released on execution of the bail bonds. The court allowed the bail, giving liberty to the committal court to impose any other conditions.

In the second case, a bench of Justices N V Ramana and Mohan Shantanagoudar allowed Kamlu Mahadu Bhande enlarged on bail, taking into account he has served a jail for over 10 years. It allowed him the bail, subject to conditions to be imposed by the trial court, the ASJ Kalyan.
