BHOPAL : A couple riding a bike with a kin died in a road mishap near Kanahsaiya village on Wednesday night. The trio was returning after attending a marriage ceremony. The accident was so ghastly that the three bike-riders were dragged for more than 100 feet with their bike by the uncontrolled car.
According to Bilkhiriya TI Pragya Namjoshi, 48-year-old Mohan Rajak with his wife Guddi Bai was returning to their home at Umraoganj near Mandideep on Wednesday evening. They were riding pillion on a bike driven by their relative, 24-year-old Kamlesh Rajak. Their two more relatives Dharmendra and Shanti Bai were also going with them on another bike. On their way an uncontrolled Swift car dashed Dharmendra’s Bike. The bike fell on the roadside. Later the driver speeded up the car to escape but lost control and ran over Kamlesh along with Mohan and Guddi Bai.
The accident was so intense that the bike was pulled for more than 100 feet from the spot. Cops said that Kamlesh and Guddi died on the spot, while Mohan lost his life during treatment at a hospital. Dharmendra and Shanti have been admitted to a hospital. Dharmendra told cops that they were returning from Chhola Mandir area, where they had gone to attend a marriage ceremony of their relative at Kalyan Nagar on Wednesday.
According to police sources the car was driven by Anchal Jain of Ayodhya Nagar, who is a student and he was speeding up to impress his girlfriend riding the car with him. He was later caught by the villagers after the accident and was handed over to Bilkhiriya police.
