Pulwama: A ‘dead’ terrorist emerged from the rubble in Pulwama and opened fire, killing four security men. It all happened when the security forces, which were engaged in an overnight encounter, went to retrieve the bodies of the militants. In the lull, one of the two militants, earlier believed to be dead, stood up and fired indiscriminately.
The gunfight erupted late last night after a joint team led by Army had launched a cordon-and-search operation. Reports said that the forces had installed lights to prevent the terrorists from escaping in the darkness.
