MATHURA: A Dalit teenage girl was allegedly gangraped by six youths in Pingri village of Mathura district, police said on Monday. The incident took place on Saturday when the victim had gone to a temple for an overnight religious event. In the night, she went to a nearby field to relieve herself.
On the way, six youths of the village abducted her and took her to a field. The youths then raped her turn wise and stopped only after she fainted. She told her family about the incident. The family then approached the police. The accused have been identified as Manoj, Mahesh, Guddu, Sanno, Ramveer and Shekhar. SSP Nitin Tiwari today said on the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim’s family, all accused except Mahesh, have been arrested.
