Ujjain : Despite ban on corporal punishment having been implemented, teachers continue to flout the rules and punish children. et another case of corporal punishment, a teacher allegedly beat up a student has come to light. A teacher of St Paul Convent School allegedly beat a class VIII student for not being able to complete his given work, when the teacher asked him do a day before. The teacher hit him with a stick on his arm and the stomach, alleged IkbalQureshi, father of the child. “ How would students learn if the teachers themselves start beating up children so ruthlessly,” rued Qureshi.

“ I was helpless, as I tried to contact school principal, he also refused to hear my complaint and asked me to forgive the issue, obligated I filed a complaint at Chimanganj Mandi police station,” added he.
