Siachen survivor’s kin to meet him at Army Hospital

New Delhi: As the nation prays for Lance Naik Hanamanthappa Koppad who is battling for life after he survived being snowed in 25 feet below the surface for six days in Siachen, the braveheart’s family is expected to meet him at the Army Hospital here today.

Koppad’s family members arrived in the national capital yesterday and are staying at the Army Hospital. “We can’t even describe how happy we are. It is a miracle,” Koppad’s brother-in-law Subhash told ANI after landing in Delhi.

The family is set to meet Koppad who is admitted at the Army Hospital Research and Referral. Koppad has been placed on a ventilator to protect his airway and lungs in view of his comatose state. Meanwhile, Army Chief General Dalbir Singh is at the RR Hospital to visit Koppad.
