New Delhi : As many as 37 newly inducted IAS officers were on Monday issued show cause notices by the Centre and warned of action for missing an interactive session by Niti Aayog member Bibek Debroy recently. A total of 172 IAS officers of 2014 batch, posted as Assistant Secretaries, are working in various ministries here as part of a new initiative by the Central government where they start their career at the Centre first before going to their respective cadre states. The Centre is organising a series of programmes for them including those on the priority programmes like Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme.

An interactive session with Debroy was organised on Friday in which all Assistant Secretaries were directed to participate.-PTI
