Srinagar : Authorities have beefed up security in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the August 15 Independence Day celebrations. Recent incidents of infiltration and ceasefire violations along the border have led to additional deployment of police and paramilitary forces in the state. The main focus of the security forces will be the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar, where Independence Day parade will be held. The forces are conducting house-to-house searches, frisking pedestrians and checking every vehicle in the area surrounding the Bakshi Stadium.
