Ruckus in Bihar assembly over police action against ABVP

Patna: The BJP created a ruckus in the Bihar assembly on Friday over police action against ABVP members and demanded action against police officers responsible for this.  Speaker Uday Narain Choudhary adjourned the proceedings till 2 p.m in the wake of protests by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislators.  On Thursday, police fired in the air and resorted to a baton charge to disperse ABVP members who pelted stones at police during a protest near the Bihar assembly against the education scenario in the state. Nearly 100 people were injured while many ABVP activists were detained.  Demanding a high-level probe into the police action, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has called a Bihar shutdown on March 30 to protest against the incident.
