LUCKNOW: It is back to the basics for the RSS. Giving the BJP government a long rope, the RSS on Friday said the former has ample time till 2019 to act on the issue of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Admitting that the government has its own priorities, RSS Joint General-Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale left no room for doubt that the Ram temple is not on the backburner. Rather, it is on the ‘national’ agenda. When a reporter pointed out that the BJP had been asserting that if it was voted to power with full majority, it would pave the way for construction of a Ram temple by passing an appropriate legislation, and asked whether the RSS would now demand the same, Hosabale said, “The issue of Ram temple is already there in the election manifesto.”
