Raipur: Three police officials were suspended and attached to police lines after a video showing them assaulting a teenager here went viral on social media, an official said on Wednesday.
"We examined the clip which went viral on social media. We found that there were three police officials posted in Raipur. The officials were assaulting a teenager. They have been placed under suspended and attached to police lines. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Lines will investigate the matter," Additional Superintendent of Police Praful Thakur told ANI.
The incident took place near a railway station. However, the police did not specify when it happened. The clip of the entire incident was shot by a passenger from the train. In the video, there were three men, including one in police uniform, and they were seen beating a minor.
