New Delhi : Ahead of festive season rush, Northern Railway has formulated an action plan to tackle the problem of unauthorised ticketing agencies to prevent misuse of the ticketing system. We have drawn out an action plan to check systemic loopholes in sale and purchase of tickets, said a senior Northern Railway official.
In order to prevent reservation under fictitious names and subsequent sale of transferred tickets, there will be raids on the premises of unauthorised travel agents, Yatri Ticket Sewak Kendras and Jan Sadharan Ticket Booking Sewak centres with the help of local police, he said.
Monitoring of tatkal reservation will be carried out to prevent unauthorised persons cornering tatkal tickets.
