One doesn’t become a superpower merely by sending a satellite on the moon or by creating atomic energy or nuclear energy experiments. Many other countries are done and dusted with all this and more. So, such things don’t actually matter. What is required is that every individual should be empowered. And if that does not happen, the meaning of trying to be a superpower can be devastatingly foolish. That’s because every person matters in a society, especially in India, where the feudal system and sycophancy are so rampant. And there can be nothing worse than that.
Some of the Indian people are absolutely brilliant and going all over the world, doing very well in other countries. But within the country, we do not have that kind of character and discipline. In such a scenario, if better infrastructure and facilities are provided within the country, there could be a role reversal and India would benefit from the expertise of the talented people from across the globe.
Sadly, apart from the many ills that India faces, one is accountability at all levels. Since people are able to draw their salaries at the end of the month, they see no reason for working hard or simply working. So, if there were accountability in every job, within and outside the government, it would make a lot of difference.
