Tirunelveli (TN): Police personnel in five districts bordering Kerala have been alerted by the ‘Q’ branch of the possibility of Maoists infiltrating these areas from that state. The alert to police of Theni, Dindigul, Tirunelveli, Dharmapuri and Erode districts was in the context of pamphlets distributed by four Maoists yesterday near a temple in Tirunelli in Kerala, claiming that the entire Western Ghats would soon come under their control. Police said the Maoists purchased some groceries from the town and left the area before their personnel arrived there.
