New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday invited ideas from people on the design of ‘Mission Swachchh Bharat’ to mark October 2 this year with dedication “to realise Gandhiji’s dream of a Clean India through Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation).

Since Modi will be away in the US on the Gandhi Jayanti, he would kick off the mission on September 25 that will go on until Diwali on October 22.

Modi said he had a fruitful meeting with ministers and officials on Thursday on the upcoming mission which he envisages to make a mass movement and link to the economic activities.

“Please share your inputs in making Mission Swacch Bharat a success and laying the foundations of a Clean India on info/swachh-bharat-clean-India,” he said.

Noting that all government departments will participate in the mission, he wanted government offices up to the panchayat level to be involved in the cleanliness drive.
