The Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar, days before the Pulwama terror attack addressed the cadres of his terrorist outfit and told them that “Pakistan is not complete without Kashmir”.
According to Indian Express, the audio tape of Masood Azhar’s purported address is part of the evidence given by New Delhi to Islamabad against JeM activities in Kashmir. The audio is reportedly from an address delivered by Azhar on February 5. In the audio tape, the Jaish chief is heard paying tributes to the terrorists killed in Kashmir. “Kashmir will attain freedom soon, along with freedom of all Muslims of India,” Azhar is heard saying in the audio tape.
Masood Azhar is heard saying, in the audio, that “The US has come to negotiate in Afghanistan, India too will be compelled to beg for negotiations before the next Kashmir solidarity day. If all Muslims of Kashmir unite against India, victory can be achieved within a month.” But in the audio, Azhar did not make any direct mention of the Pulwama attack. However, intelligence agencies suspect his call for unity in Kashmir implies that he was planning a big attack.
India has repeatedly told Pakistan to act against terror groups operating from its soil and recently handed over a dossier containing “specific details” of the involvement of the JeM in the Pulwama terror attack and the presence of camps of the UN-proscribed terror outfit in Pakistan. Azhar is the chief of JeM that claimed responsibility for the February 14 Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
