Jaipur: On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) today offered free ride to women in its buses of all categories.
No fair is being charged from female passengers from midnight. It is for 24 hours, an RSRTC spokesperson said.
The RSRTC has 4,500 buses in which 9,50,000 passengers travel in normal days of which over 30 per cent are female.
However, the number of women travelling in buses increases on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, he said.
