New Delhi: The three suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba militants involved in the Gurdaspur terror attacks made every attempt to hide their identity and had even removed tags on their clothes, including in their underwear.

There were no markings on the combat uniforms and innerwear worn by them, official sources said.

The terrorists were not carrying any food items except for some loose dry fruits. However, the two GPS devices recovered from the slain terrorists could give an idea of where they had started their journey from before reaching Gurdaspur, the sources said.

The terrorists were carrying three AK 47 rifles, several Chinese-made grenades, besides 10 magazines with more than 200 rounds of ammunition. The absence of bullet-proof vehicles with Gurdaspur police delayed the final onslaught against the terrorists, which became possible only after help arrived from J-K Police.
