Kozhikode: AICC General Secretary Mukul Wasnik has slammed the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for failing to address farmers’ problems. “Agricultural production has hit a low after the Modi government came to power. Export of agricultural products came down by 25 per cent as the government has cut the schemes for the welfare of farmers,” he said.

“The BJP government has failed to address the problems of the farmers across the country,” he said. Wasnik was inaugurating a seminar on ‘New Dimensions of Youth Politics’, organised by the Kerala Youth Congress in connection with its state conference here last evening.

He asked the youth to fight against what he called attempts to destroy secular and democratic values of the nation. “Youngsters who devoted their body and soul for the country were the strength of the freedom struggle,” he said. Youth Congress State President Dean Kuriakose presided over the conference.
