State- level convention of MISA detainees held
BHOPAL : Madhya Pradesh Loktantra Sanrakshak Sangh on Sunday organised a State- level convention of MISA detainees at Pandit Deendayal Parisar. At the outset of the programme, the portraits of Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Jaiprakash Narayan were garlanded.
BJP senior leader and former chief minister Sunderlal Patwa, while addressing the convention said that MISA detainees have strengthened the democracy.
He alleged that the Congress- led UPA Government at the Centre is trying to repeat emergency in the country and the people of the country should remain alert. He appealed the youths to be ready to face the situation boldly.
Former chief minister and MP Kailash Joshi, in his address accused the Congress- led UPA Government of the Government of scamsters, which hesitates in sending criminals to jail. He said that the treatment given to Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev was violation of democracy. State president of the Sangh, Kailash Soni felicitated Meghraj Jain for being elected for Rajya Sabha and Narayan Prasad Gupta, who ran his agitation during the emergency. MISA detainees across the State had come to attend the convention.
Senior leader Satya Narayan Jatia, ministers Ramkrishna Kusmaria and Archana Chitnis, Jinendra Jain, Savita Vajpayee, Jaishree Banerjee, Shiv Chaubey and Suresh Agarwal were also present on the occasion.
