New Delhi: Following the rejection of 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon’s curative petition on a death warrant by the Supreme Court, senior lawyer KTS Tulsi on Wednesday said the mercy petition pending with the President has to be disposed off before the former’s execution can take place.
“As far as the Supreme Court is concerned, there can be no inhibition and no restriction in carrying out the death sentence, but the only thing is that if the mercy petition is pending with the President, then it has to be disposed off before the execution can take place,” Tulsi told ANI.
