Biharsharif: A Maoist was arrested today from a village in Bihar’s Nalanda district, police said.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided a house at Patanbigha village and nabbed the ultra, identified as Arvind Kumar Verma, the police said.

The Maoist has been charged with demanding extortion from a construction company which was carrying out a road project worth rupees two crore between Sohjanna and Panchloha villages, they added.
