Namakkal: Unable to stay away from his wife, who went to her mother’s house for some time, a man allegedly committed suicide by setting himself ablaze at Tiruchengode, police said.
The 26-year-old man suffered serious burn injuries afer he set himself ablaze by smashing a lit hurricane lamp against his body.
He was first admitted to the Government hospital at Tiruchengode, and then to the Erode government hospital, where he died this morning, police said.
The couple have a one-year-old baby boy.
