New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a cloudy and humid morning today with the MeT department predicting light rains in some parts of the city.

The minimum temperature settled at 27.6 degrees Celsius, which was one notch above normal. Humidity levels remained as high as 80 per cent at 8 AM.

The rain gauge at Safdarjung observatory, considered the official reading for the city recorded 0.4 mm rainfall during the last 24 hours ending at 8:30 AM.

Temperature is expected to climb up to 35 degree during the later part of the day with no respite from muggy  conditions.

“Sky will remain generally cloudy and very light rains and thundershowers are expected in some parts of the city,” said a MeT official.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius yesterday while the minimum had settled at 26.8 degrees.
