Left parts ways with Jayalalithaa

The third front bubble has been pricked. Left parties on Thursday called off their short-lived alliance with the AIADMK after J Jayalalithaa refused to give in to their demand for more seats in Tamil Nadu.

Jayalalithaa had unilaterally announced her nominees for all the seats in TN and refused to accommodate the Left later, even after they endorsed her as the prime ministerial nominee of the front.
